Baxface is the creative studio of Toronto-based artist, maker and producer Jen Baxendale.

Built around Fabrication, Assemblage, Colour and Expression, Baxface is where art, objects, installations and experiences collide with a love of bold ideas, unexpected materials and making things that get noticed.

Baxface’s practice is rooted in assemblage: taking found, forgotten, discarded and unexpected materials and transforming them into something new. Her work moves between original artwork, reworked vintage and one-of-a-kind pieces to custom fabrication, large-scale builds and immersive installations.

With a background in experiential production, Jen brings both sides of the creative process together: the imagination to see what something could be and the practical know-how to figure out how to make it.

Baxface also explores what happens when making becomes something we participate in, not just something we look at.

Through workshops, events and retreats, Baxface creates opportunities for people to experiment, play and make things without the pressure of needing to call themselves artists.

Because creativity doesn't belong only to artists.
